A group of Ferguson College of Agriculture students explored the agricultural landscapes of New Zealand and Australia during a study abroad course this winter 2026.

Students visited a wide range of agricultural operations, including beef and dairy cattle, red deer, sheep, goats, llamas, alpacas, vineyards and fruit farms. Through these experiences, they learned how each country's climate and geography influence agricultural production and sustainability.

The group also explored iconic cities, nature reserves, mountains, beaches and historical landmarks in each country. This course offered students the opportunity to experience the landscapes and cultures that make New Zealand and Australia unique.
